If you live at our No.1 Station Approach student accommodation in Hereford, we’ve got you covered in terms of some lovely, student-friendly cafés to visit nearby. With coffee shop culture on the rise, solo study dates becoming more popular, and people just looking for somewhere fun to hang out with friends or flatmates, consider this your Hereford-based bible when it comes to cafés!
dough, Commercial Street
Around a 10 minute walk from No.1 Station Approach, dough is a really modern café with a great aesthetic and a lovely vibe. From breakfast mimosas to loaded hash browns, the menu is interesting and varied – they even have their very own coffee blend. If you’re looking for a fun brunch as a treat with friends or flatmates, this is the perfect place.
The Living Room, Commercial Road
Also only a 10 minute walk from our modern student accommodation in Hereford, The Living Room is a wonderful concept – a cosy community space (with a community larder for those in need, too) the café hosts workshops and support groups for a wide range of people. The money you spend on the tasty food and drinks offered here goes directly back into the charity, helping to fund much-needed community outreach.
King St Kitchen, King Street
A lovely independently owned coffee shop, King St Kitchen is around a 20 minute walk from our Hereford student accommodation – but well worth the walk if you’re feeling like getting your steps in! From a full English breakfast to a Biscoff flapjack and chai lattes to rose lemonade, the menu is great. They also deliver, if you’re looking for a hungover treat after a student night out…
The Sacred Brew Coffee Shop, Eign Gate
Also around 20 minutes away on foot, this is an independent coffee shop with a difference – they have an in-house tattoo artist, nail artists, barbers and more! A casual spot offering good coffee, tasty sandwiches and more, it’s definitely one to check out if you’re looking for cafés in Hereford.
De Koffie Pot, Bridge Street
Again around 20 minutes walk from No.1 Station Approach, Da Koffie Pot has stunning views of the River Wye – with plenty of outdoor seating too. Possibly one to bookmark for the spring months, but a dry day in autumn/winter would be lovely as well. Freshly made cakes, decent coffee, chilli, burgers… the menu is great, and they also have live music and regularly screen film/TV events too.
There are loads of lovely cafés around Hereford, perfect for chilling out at the weekend or studying during the week – this is just a selection of some of the best, and we definitely recommend checking them out!
