There are often two sides to Freshers’ Week – the constant parties and going out, getting to know your flatmates through a shared sense of excitement and nights out, is one side. The other is the day-to-day: unpacking your belongings, getting to know the local area, settling into independence and attending Freshers’ Fairs where you can join societies and find like-minded people, as well as grab a *ton* of freebies; this is where the tote bag will come in handy!
